How Prevalent Is Innocent Click Frauding? *Banned Accounts*

I often read online an alarming number of claims from people who have had their AdSense accounts banned, through click fraud. By that I mean, somebody else has allegedly repeatedly clicked on the ads on another person's site, leading to the detection of 'suspicious activity' by Google. Then the ban happens.

Having a number of AdSense niche sites, I am concerned that this type of event may happen to me at some stage. Is there any way to completely prevent this from occurring? My guess is no.

Is account reinstatement ever possible if the banned individual is in fact innocent of illegal behaviour? How to prove? How to convince Google?

The only type of pricks that would do that to someone's adsense account would be internet marketers LOL.

First i wouldn't put adsense on an internet marketing blog.

I've had my current adsense account for about 3 years now. Average over $200 per day that long. Never got clickbombed yet.

A long time ago i heard of some plugin that will prevent this. I guess if the same person from the same IP tries to click on one of your adsense ads twice the ads won't show to that person. Unfortunetely i don't remember what it was called.

If your account gets banned you're pretty much screwed. There really isn't any reinstatement. You'll have to open up a new LLC and create a new adsense account. And then create new websites.
