Hello Everyone,

New Here.

Okay, so here is the thing. I've just started off in Internet Marketing about last 30 days or so. Got off to a not so encouraging start by losing about $75 promoting a teespring campaign on Facebook PPC, where I didn't manage to get a single sale.

Took that in my stride. Did a lot of reading up and learning over last 3 weeks or so. At this point for starting off, I can spare $100 a month. Of course once I start making money online that number will go up.

So, I am not a techie. Since the money I can invest is limited, the number of ways I can spend it for generating income, is also limited. Hence, after much thought, I figured Clickbank could be the right option for me, right? I don't need to build a website/squeeze page(at start). I can straightaway choose what I want to sell, to what niche I want to sell, do some keyword planning on Google Keyword planner, create a hoplink, lay out some PPC ads with a budget of $100 to get targeted traffic, and start making some money.

It seemed right until the part PPC came along for execution. This has got me real confused. Google PPC is costly for a starter. Facebook PPC won't work. It has a casual audience + my own bad experience.

I have tried going for other networks such as ADknowledge, and a couple of others which I fail to recall right now. However, I am not sure which would give me quality paid traffic. I find it surprising that despite Internet Marketing being such a huge business, there is absolutely ZERO availability of any review of PPC networks, listing pros and cons of each ad-network.

For a beginner like me, it would be impossible to try each and every PPC network out there to figure out which one works the best for me. And as I said earlier, the money as of now is limited.

Would really appreciate suggestions on which PPC to choose.

Thanks.
#ppc

    Thanks.

You are on the right track using PPC. (Forget SEO ..... you either pay for traffic in $$$$ by using PPC OR you pay for it in time...sometimes years... trying to game the Google search codes which will frustrate you and you will NEVER find out the answer anyway)

You are on the right track using Google PPC. (It is the best "business" related engine. As you have found out, Facebook is for social whackers.)

The issue you have is that you think Google PPC is too expensive.
(I assure you that Google PPC in the most efficient method for you to get started).

If Google PPC is too expensive for your proposed business, then look for another business OR adjust your expectations of what your profits will be.

The problem I've found with Google is that it costs about a $1 minimum per click, compared to some other options[FB, Jema, Adknowledge] which have a PPC cost in pennies. As you can understand, there isn't much mileage I can get with Google on a $100 budget.

If you only have a budget of $100, then you need to re-evaluate the expectations you may have to build a business that will generate sufficient funds for it (the business) to be worthwhile in terms of your time and efforts.

Anything that will produce an extraordinary response rate will quickly attract stronger competitors that will drown you out and kill your business.

        Hi ASG1123,

It seems to me that you need rethink how you are evaluating PPC programs. A $1.00 click on Google can often be worth that same as a $15.00 click on another platform. It's how much value per click that determines if a click cost is too high, or not. Without the other side of that equation you cannot evaluate the viability of click costs.

In the end, it is the profitability of the click that is what matters. If a click has a $20 value per click then A $10 CPC is still very profitable. You mustn't judge the CPC without knowing the VPC.

Value Per Click - Cost Per Click = Profit Per Click

Profit per click is your yardstick, get it?

And a budget of $100 per day is not too little to start, I often start a new campaign with a budget as low as $30 per day and then go up from there.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I started off a clickbank campaign on Bing. Why Bing, you would ask. Because Bing gave out some free advertising for starters. So basically, My advertisement would be on Bing without paying anything on start. Sounds good right.

So, I generate a CB hotlink, took the keywords out of Google keyword planner and added those in my campaign. Removed the ones which had high competition and hence higher PPC cost.

At the end of the day, what I am looking at is about 70 clicks on the hoplink, however, ZERO sales. And the ad description had a clear Call To Action message with Click to buy now for $xx.

After looking at those results I was happy. At least the results were there on a probably $30 budget.

I realised, not having a squeeze page was the biggest mistake. Those guys who clicked despite CTA message being there were potential buyers. And I had no way to follow up with them. So that's a lesson learned for good, on microsoft's money.

Is there anything else you guys suggest I could have done better.

P.S. - And is there a way i can build a squeeze page without spending any money. I have a domain on GoDaddy, and can do graphics.
