If I am not mistaken, this is a press release site yes? I sughest just submit one PR a week and focus more on content marketing, targeting high page rank sites. Press release sites are no longer considered valuable in terms of PR juice and ranking but (for me) they still matter in terms of driving direct traffic. But like I said, try to focus more in building links to sites that will give you high page rank and can rank your keywords.

If you're submitting to a quality site and/or find professional audience for your press releases then it might be a really good way. If you're just submitting articles to some random site it's pretty much worthless.

I'm not sure how SB Wire works, but at least their site seems quite legit.

First you need to research your competitor backlinks and decide yourself how many backlinks you will need for a particular keyword to rank well in search engines. However, dont stick to just one keyword always keep changing it and also check your competitor backlinks.

4 article that too in 4+ PR should do fine for a month and so. Reputation of the website in which you are submitting plus quality of the article has to there.

Do article submission twice a month not for each keyword just change them time to time and do social bookmarking on regular bases.

I thought article submission was done. I stopped submitting articles about a year ago, even to EZine. I just add the "article" to my own blog as a post.

I'm not sure the author of that article is an "expert." Just curious what other experienced persons think about submitting articles. Is it still worth it for link diversification?

As I have been saying for the last year. Article directories are dead. Google just officially announced that as well.

I have seen many penalties because of article network links.

As I suspected. So...Does it now make sense to go back to the articles I have written, and remove the links?

Why you only use sbwire try ezinearticle and newsvine but remember always submit a quality content with one keyword and try other ways also to get your site ranked.

Like everyone else here suggests, focus on content marketing. You can still do article submission to article directories but choose the ones that have high page rank. If the site is less than PR3, forget about it. You may also do guest posting and sharing your content to community-based sites. Forum posting also works but make sure that you share relevant and good content to your readers.
