Facebook Ads - Page or Directlink?

Well i read some e-books about Facebook ads, and the only thing i don't understand is, is it better to use right corner ads (direct linking to site) or use the news feed one?

    If your potential fan has hundreds of friends, their feed is already cluttered with so many posts, there's not much real chance yours will get seen. However, for a really active Facebook user, who checks their feed hourly, this could be a good way to reach them as they are already on the site and will see what you have to say, where as they might ignore the ads in the side column.
