Ranking Solely for Title

I'm not sure about this so I thought I'd ask. If the top ten sites in google for your keyword are extremely authorative sites (high PR, juice links, domain authority) but none of them are using the keyword properly as their title, will you rank for this easily?

Example: keyword "Black Dogs Training and Teaching"

top 10 sites titles:

1. dog training
2. dog teaching
3. teaching black dogs
4. black dogs teaching
5. dog training black dogs

Would you rank? Do authoritive sites somehow hold more ranking weight even with partial keywords just because their "authorative"?

Not necessarily. A few years ago, Google decided to start giving results based on relevance+quality instead of just relevance.

It will be easier indeed than competing with these website if they had exact title, however, my experience is showing that it isn't much easier to get ranked.
