Google Authorship Profile Picture not showing in SERP

Hello Warrior Members,

From last two days my Google Author profile picture is not showing in SERP. I was integrated and verified authorship profile 1 year before, till day before yesterday, my blog was ranking with authorship snippet but from last days, my profile picture alone is not showing suddenly but (by Author Name and number of G+ user have him in circle is showing still.

Help me to fix the issue to get back my profile picture shown in SERP.

A purge was promised, and you got struck. Dont feel too bad though. So did I. This just ads extra value to it.

Folks should have listened to me about not running G+ profiles on Google SERPs.

  Why? It's not like it's hurting their sites. If their image does happen to show, then it can entice click throughs. there's no harm in trying.

I've had all the stuff connected for ages, but never did that picture appear in the search results. Doesn't seem to matter at all.

  Right. There was a change recently as to the way Google decides to show the pic or not show the pic. What I heard is that the more "authority" you have (more articles in a certain niche, on high pr pages etc), the more you are likely to get your photo in the SERPS. But using google plus still helps you get rankings.
  
  There are some articles about this new change and how it works. I can't remember who was writing about this, but check google for info on it.

Actually, Google updated the authorship that's why many peoples lose their Google+ authorship from Google SERP due to article/content quality

It was said before that Google will distinguish Author's snippet according to their popularity and content quality, you must be lacking in quality measurements ! that's why it is happening... I have seen this issue occurring more on Wordpress blogs.

  All I can suggest is dig in & reverse engineer other sites with video thumbnails or buy the Yoast video plugin. Sorry, but that's not something the masses needs to know, at least paying for the plugin throttles the masses from junking up the SERPs. I'm not saying you would junk up the SERPs.

  Yes, Google changed a lot with the update of Authorship. Here is a great post about that:

  Thanks Sclark, the blog post you shared offers some really great insight into the recent authorship updates. I came across another post in SEJ that also offers some great insight into the importance of having that authorship headshot show up in the SERP - Eye Tracking Study: The Importance of Using Google Authorship in Search Results | Search Engine Journal. The eye-tracking company, LookTracker conducted a study to test the value of Google Authorship in the search results-- definitely some great info!
