"I really hate my job"

https://www.google.com.au/?gfe_rd=ct...ly+hate+my+job

I wanted to make a blog post on one of my sites but I dont think I can rank in the 1st page vs these websites. What do you think? im still new to finding key words and knowing if you can rank the first page or #1 without putting any funding into it.

it seems a difficult one, especially seeing as you will not be investing money into the keyword you will not be ranking 1 any time soon.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I can safely say that you'll never hit page 1 for the search without putting money into it. At least, not without a miracle.

First page is full of sites that either have DA>90 or over 400 links.

I have to agree with Jayy, you could research a lot on free seo methods but even then for that keyword phrase it isn't looking good, sorry!

If you were willing or can put money in then you stand half a chance, video marketing would be a powerful way to push your ranking up and Roy carter does an excellent course on this, called video marketing miracle.

The very first result is from imdb, second from about.com, third from wikipedia. I think it will be very tough to outrank those sites.

If your keyword is also the title of a movie then you will always have difficulty. Because you are competing with IMDB and authority movie review sites.

The top results on the first page for "I Really Hate My Job" are related to the movie.

You will need to show Google that people searching for "I really hate my job" are not looking for the movie. Which, for a phrase like this, would be really difficult.

Maybe I'm missing something here but are there not two blogs on the 1st page already? One with a DA of 36 and one 27. How old/authoritative is your own blog?

Clearly it won't be a walk in the park but it's certainly not impossible.

I'd first question how many people actually search for that term.

Yes two blogs are ranking in Google. So first you should know your site Domain Authority and Page Authority. If you feel good to go, just give it a try.

If I could know your URL, probably I could make some hit and trial.

Like the members above me posted, to rank for that keyword would be a real uphill battle. Why not target a different but similiar keyword?
Instead of "I really hate my job" maybe
I cant stand my job anymore
        My job sucks
        My job stresses me out
        Hate my job

Waste of time with that keyword.
    • It's a movie title.
    • Unnecessary competition (IMDB, Wikipedia, etc...)
    • It's not a buyer keyword, sure traffic is desperate but I'm sure they're just blowing off steam because some boss pissed them off for the day.
    • Zero paid advertising in the SERPs, that's usually a hint (not always, but usually).

No, you cannot rank for this keyphrase easily. Check out the attachment. In a nutshell, here's why (top 10 SERPs):
You cannot easily deal with the page PR (0-4) and domain PR (3-9)
You cannot easily deal with Domain Age (2-19 years)
You cannot easily deal with page backlinks (11-34K)
You cannot easily deal with domain backlinks (34K - millions)
Top 10 SERPs are SEO optimized to some degree

Not sure why you want to rank for this keyphrase, but consider an end-around: Try an actor's name and the movie name. Or the director and movie name. Or some phrase in the movie that fans would know.

      Basically, movie stuff is hard!
