Would too many internal links on one page to one specific page hurt SEO?

Hi,
I am wondering if I put too many internal links on my website/pages to a specific page (my sales page), that would hurt SEO.

More specifically, I have a footer ad, header ad (both buttons), a sidebar link(text) and a contextual link all to the same sales page (within the website).

Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

    In my experience this is only really a problem if you have a massive number of pages linking to your sales page. I once did get a penalty for using well over 100k internal footer links to a sales page, but other than doing things on a huge scale like this, I've never seen a problem with it.

    BTW - I should have added that it seems to depend on where the links are.

    If they're in a prominent position where visitors would look for links, like your top navigation bar or side bar, then you probably still won't have a problem with a 100k links - I do this all the time.

    In my experience the problem only arises when the links are placed somewhere that humans don't tend to look but bots do - like in my case with the footer links.
