My niche is self improvement, I have around 30 articles ready (In french), and can easily manage to write quality 1-3 articles per week.

does this approach sound correct?

1- Great looking Wordpress theme ( This one particularly caught my attention)

2- Stockphotos to go with every article

3- implement google adsense

4- Keep content fresh !

      Publishing quality article is great but you should know how to promote your site.Some ways I am telling
      1-Place Facebook,google+ etc button on each article page so that your visitor will be able to like it and it will increase your ranking.
      2-submit your site link to quality directories.
      3-spread about your site in social networking site like Facebook,twitter etc
      4-Participate in forum discussion and spread about your site.

    I'd add this as your #5: build relationships with other bloggers in the same niche. Leave thoughtful comments on their posts, share their content, reference (and link to) their posts in your posts, engage with them on Twitter, Facebook etc.

    Then this should be your #6: collect visitor email addresses somehow either by having a simple newsletter signup or by offering them a freebie in exchange.

    Oh and Adsense isn't the only form of advertising for blogs. You might try selling ads yourself through something like BuySellAds.

    In that particular niche I'd also say that videos and podcasts would be very popular.

    I want to include one more step, join social networks like Facebook, Google+ and Twitter etc, join community and groups to build relationship with your audience and bloggers in your niche. And you should be use top social bookmarks sites like Delicious, StumbleUpon, Reddit etc There are lot of ways to earn money through blogging first you need to your blog stand out from crowd.

      Just another one for you to think about. Go out and mingle with your target audience. Find out where they are - what people are talking about? What are their problems and challenges? Interact and offer solutions.

    I used the same approach with my site and its taken off....however you're missing a third of the equation, which is traffic.

    Traffic doesnt just appear. If you dont rank, if you dont have referral traffic, social traffic no one's going to be able to find you in order to view your content and click on your adsense banners.

    you've got the easy stuff down it seems... now welcome to the club, go find you some traffic.
