Google is smart, but sometimes it could be very, very stupid.
Sometimes I get identical duplicate results in my seaches. Today
I decided to understand how that was done and do it myself.

Here's what to do:
1. Take your page, which already is #1 (or #2 or whatever)
2. Duplicate the page with the same name, but all in uppercase.
For example: if you have make-money.html, clone it as MAKE-MONEY.HTML.
Do it this way: upload original
page, rename it on the server, upload original page again... You'll
get two pages with the same name.

3. Make a link to the clone somewhere at the bottom of original page

Google will index second page and think it is different. It will get the same high ranking.

P.S. Most likely this won't work on windows based server ... hehehe So, if your pages have .asp at the end, then forget it

Really? This sounds like an automatic duplicate content penalty to me.. I am suprised but I guess I shouldn't be suprised by anything Google does anymore. I might have to experiment with this myself.

looks like they don't worry much about duplicate content anymore. Try yourself. I will PM you key phrase to search. You'll see exact the same page twice there

Also if it's on the same domain it'll be added as a supplemental result - not put as a separate #2 result.

Don't know whether will it work or not. But really sometimes Google become so stupid for search something. Like I search for one thing it shows results for something else.
They should work on it very hard.

      is it worth it?
Google will throw away only one copy of two, so that won't do any bad. Also, duplicate content is not a proven fact.

sounds interesting, but how can you be sure they won't throw away the whole domain? I think it's a risky method for the long run...

I wouldn't advise anyone try this on a legit, money pulling site.
