Google Geo Targeting

Google webmaster tools has a index that you can click called Geo Targeting.

Is it better to leave this field as "unlisted" or would it be better to click
the country that most of your traffic comes from ?

Does it really matter one way or the other ?

    LXR,

    It really does not matter what you do with this stat it will not effect anything other than how you see the date. If it is much easier in my opinion to keep it at unlisted, hope this helps!

    It depends on who your selling to.

    If my target demographics is US traffic then I wouldn't care about the rest of the traffic outside of the US. Would you really care about traffic from Germany If your business is cleaning swimming pools in Dallas, TX?

    On the flip side, If I'm selling pool supplies (example) to a global market & I notice Germany SERPs has weak competition for my global keywords, I might drill down to only Germany data in WMT & optimize for that specific SERP.

    It all depends on your own goals.
