Does anyone here specialize in selling tested pay per click ads? I have made a few sale here and there through ppc but usually end up spending all profits trying to get more sales. I know what they say, test, test, test, but it just cost me more, more, more. I can't seem to get it right, there must be a trick to it. Any advice would be appreciated.

    As an owner of a digital advertising agency I have been writing and testing ads for many years, there is a formula that you can use to write ads that get good click through rates on your ads. The formula varies a bit based on the particular channel, and market segment you are targeting.

    It requires a slightly different approach for ads that target the top of the funnel verses the bottom of the sales funnel. However, your ads are only half of the equation, landing pages are the other half. Your landing pages could be a major part of the issue.

    For example, there must not be a disconnect in the message of your ad and the message users will find on the landing pages, else the bounce rate for traffic from your ad will probably be high and cost you dearly.

    You may want to begin the process of optimizing your landing pages for conversions before spending to much on ads. Once you have your landers optimized your ad budget will go much further.
