The best (and the safest) way to rank your videos is by using the opportunities YouTube itself gives you. And I am not talking only for the ones you already mentioned. Just read some in-depth articles and ebooks about YouTube SEO and you will find out what I am talking about.

post your video right in the appropriate forum with the content of your video, if you have a website you can also put it in there. Create an FP to upload your video there targeting specific people.

You should use keywords in title, description and tags - but that's fairly obvious, and you're probably already doing that. Google also tracks the viewing time of videos, and it's a ranking factor as far as I know. What they love, however, is the user interaction and activity (because that's what makes them money). You should try to take the total engagement up if you can.

Currenly banking hard off YouTube. I've got a method to rank any video to #1 position in no time, lol. But to rank legit do this:
Add at least 4000 views to the video.
100 likes (AddmeFast)
5-12 comments.
Favorites (enhanceviews)

Leave the video for a few days (2-3).
Then start building links:
Go to Fiverr and look for gigs that offer Wiki links, I used them and ranked well my vids on google as well.

Keep in mind that it's possible to make links by yourself - that's even better. If you've got time research what Web 2.0 is and build them for your video

I use fiverr alot to rank my videos. Look for link pyramids gigs with quality wiki links. They work well for me

I've had success by embedding my video in high pr web 2.0's such as tumblr and blogger then blasting them with links.

Social media site sharing can help your Youtube video to get more views. Also, it can help to get your video viral.

I've ranked over 500+ videos on page 1 of *Google* over the last couple of years. My technique has evolved rather significantly and I've had to pay a developer $150 just to make me an app that does all my keyword research. Its a fairly elaborate process but the app basically scrapes hundreds of thousands of keywords, gets all the search estimates, filters out all the keywords under 3,000 SM, then filters in all the keywords that have videos in the top 5.

It does a ton of other stuff but it basically automates 100% of all my keyword research.

Once I narrow down a list of a few hundred keywords I can search them all in ahrefs and analyze competition.

Then to rank the videos this is all I do -

1) Drip feed high retention views.
2) Drip feed likes, subs, comments, ratings.
3) Every video gets a 1000+ word, keyword rich description.
4) I use other little techniques for on page SEO that would take too long to explain.
5) I plug the videos into GSA which I have on a VPS along with scrapebox. I do 1 tier for low competition videos and 3 tiers for high competition videos. I'm able to pump out around 100k-125k links a day.
6) All the links get sent to indexification.

Thats basically it. I just spam the videos till they rank on page 1 and overtake their competition. In certain cases I'll buy high pr web2.0 links if my video needs the links juice.

As far as fiver goes..... you can use fiver but there is no way you can scale things up the way you need unless you get some tools to drop your SEO costs. For the amount of links I do everyday I've have to spend $100-$200 / day in fiver gigs just to get a similar amount of links. And the quality of most the links would be shit.

If you're trying to rank 1 video, fiver is fine. But if you plan on making a real income from ranking YT videos you need your own tools + a vps.

I agree use what youtube gives you but forum posting is good as well.

Are you trying to rank your videos for Google or for YouTube results?

1. If you reach page 1 of Google, then keep on building backlinks to get top3

2. If you reach page 1 of YouTube, then keep on blasting it with views, likes, comments, and social signals.

I think Google decrease the power of video ranking in the last several months.I think now it is different.What are your new strategies?

I can't really add more than what has already been said, but something that I like to do is optimize the closed caption as well. It is crawled, and I have seen some of my vids jump in Google rankings from simply optimizing the closed caption for the keyword I am looking to rank for.

Fiverr can be useful, while not ideal for ranking websites some of those gigs work great on sites like youtube.

Maybe you can create some new videos that talk about the same subject and work with different keywords.

Adding new videos too will only help you get some of your videos ranked high. This will only get you more views and more clicks on your links.

for the first time ever I used youtube advertising to buy some views got about 2000 for $20, the video in question seems to now have some momentum on its own

I have several low competition videos doing fine, but high competition videos crashed.

Just share your video on social media sites. try to get high quality thematic links. I have read one of the thread on Warrior Forum, Just use keywords planner, try to add your youtube url in url place and add related title in keywords place and try to get the suggested keywords. Use and share your experience. May be it move your video position up in Google.

It took me about 3 weeks to rank #1 for my keywords on Youtube. Basically make sure you put your keyword first in the title, first in your description and put it in your tags. Post the vid to all of your social sites and your main site. You can push Backlinks to your video link as well.

Retention views are still the greatest factor I think

So far, I've been hitting page 1 or page 2. Furthest being page 3. I do have a few vids that hit search result 1. All I'd like to do is push up the views and rankings. So far it's working well though. Shooting 3-5 videos daily with low-med competition keywords.

Just get backlinks for your youtube video which will auto bring it on top ...

It used to be a lot easier to rank a youtube video, now it should have proper title,description and tags, then backlink it manually to a few sites that are related. It's easier the lower the competition your keywords have.

No matter what else you do the key that starts the search engine is the right keywords.

All of the rest come after you kick start the video.

Make sure that your keywords have commercial intent too.

I already ranked one of my videos in google first page in 10 days. Build some profile on social media sites and link back to youtube videos, blog comment and link to vidoes. I mean build some links from different sources.

The formula I found that works on ranking YouTube videos looks like this:

Google Engine Ranking

• Send 1000's of PR>1 anchor text backlinks
• Use a decent amount of branded, URL, target keyword, related keywords, misc
• Send them from article directories, web 2.0s, and comments
• Throw in 1-10 embeds from high PR sites (PR3+) with great PA/DA

YouTube Engine Ranking

• Likes: 50+
• Comments: 50+
• Views: 500+
• Subscribes: variable
• All dripped in over the course of a month.
• Submit the video to some high PR social bookmarking site
• This is also necessary for Google Engine ranking

These days it takes about 3-5 weeks to get to #1. Wasn't like that 4 months ago unfortunately.

You can do video submission and forum posting to increase video ranking.
