Please Help - Looking for typical Visitor to Click rates for a standard website

Hi,

I am looking for some credible data that could tell me the following:

For every 1,000 visits to a site, how many of these would result in a visitor clicking on a Google Ad and what would be the Average CPC for these clicks?

Any data would be greatly appreciated.

    Your asking a question that's impossible to answer.

    Someone in the health niche (millions of unique traffic) will have a higher CTR than someone in a niche with million dollar yachts (less traffic).

      You're quite right, Yukon, and thanks for highlighting that. I should have been more specific with my question.

      What I am trying to get is CTR rates for a very broad based site like www.Squidoo.com where Users publish articles on a wide variety of Topics - i.e. the website is not in a particular niche like Health or Yachts. I guess a broad based online newspaper would also work.

      Any suggestions on where I could get CTR's for the ads on these type of sites?
