Google PR improved but organic traffic decreased

Is the keyword buy auto insurance or buy yellow wiffle ball bat boise idaho?

A single PR1 isn't much authority to work with.

I have the same problem. One of my websites had good traffic till I got to PR1. But after my website got PR1, the traffic I got has decreased. I'm still trying to figure out what could be the reason. I was happy when I got PR1 but after seeing that my traffic was down, I wasn't that happy. But I think my reason was due to the hosting company I was at. I had a problem where my site was down and was inaccessible for 15 days, which is a very long period. And I've also seen that most of my indexed pages were taken out. More than 2 months have passed and the pages are still being indexed slowly. But I could not understand how my website got to PR1 when it was down.

  A higher pagerank doesn't automatically equal higher rankings.
  
  I can blast a site with 100k blog comments and turn it into a PR5 and it will be outranked by a PR0 site with a handful of links.

You probably got your PR from building some real crappy links, and then lost your ranking/traffic from building some real crappy links to your site.

PR has nothing with traffic..You may build tons of links(Good Links) to a site, and may got high PR, but what the value of those links that can't bring traffic?Linking for increasing PR and linking for bringing traffic differs...

To get organic traffic you need to rank your blog post in search engine for some of the keywords. So build some backlinks to the blog post and you can get organic traffic.

Put all your spammy links in the disavow tool bar and start building new links from high authority relevant sites to get back your ranking.

Word of advice: Ignore PR.

It's meaningless. Google has publicly said multiple times that they're purposely trying to confuse SEOs. This is just one of their many methods of how they do it, just like the Google dance.

Spammy links means if you have backlinks from low quality sites like directory sites link exchanges or any low authority sites then try to remove those links first.
