Help! My Blog Disappeared from Google After Applying Angela's Backlinks

I did some backlinking for my Blogger blog using some of the links in Angela's packet. Two days ago I applied two of Angela's high PR links and yesterday I applied 3 more. Before I applied the links my blog was in Position #27 for my main keyword but when I woke up this morning, I searched for my blog in Google SERPS and it is nowhere to be seen. I stopped looking for it after having searched 40 pages of Google results.

I was wondering if I was adding links too fast. The weird thing is that this disappearance of my blog from Google SERPS happened a month ago also after applying Angela's links. In disappointment I did nothing to my blog for 3 weeks and it slowly climbed back to its former position. That was when I decided to apply Angela's links again. And BAM!! Myblog was blasted out of the Google SERPS again. I am now positive that Angela's links have something to do with my blog's disappearance from Google.

What could I be doing something wrong? Am I adding links too fast? Why are other Warriors reporting phenomenal results with Angela's links?

For the information of everybody. I tried very hard to add value to the sites where I placed my links like I posted some valuable information on their forums. On one thread there, my post was the longest. Where others posted one liners, I posted something like 4 paragraphs of some real content. On average I spent around 20 minutes per site.

So what could be wrong?

How old is the blog? New sites will go through a "google dance" and jump up and down in position. After a drop they will usually appear after a few days at a higher position.

My guess is that you are NOT doing anything wrong. It is part of the Google dance and chances are that you are on the way up ... stay patient!

My Blogger blog is 2 months old. The weird thing is that its disappearance from Google is highly correlated with my backlinking using Angela's links. I hope my blog will be resurrected.

yea for some reason google loves dropping sites for a few days, then bouncing em up higher than they were before every so often.

As said before this is usually referred to as the *google dance*

no idea why they do it...

I suspect it's coincidental. I had a blog which is a bit older than yours and ranked at #2 for a certain keyword drop completely off the map a few days ago, and I've not applied any backlinking to it whatsoever. It isn't the first time it happened to this blog, and it always comes back, usually ranked higher than before.

  • Yeah they did another change to their algo on Thursday I think, that's probably what happened. And it happens about once a month. It could be related to the links, but I highly doubt it - probably just a coincidence. Links that contribute high value to other sites would not be likely to get your site completely out of the SERPS.

Yes, traffic is down to one of my sites which was getting a rush of traffic in I was quite pleased with, and then, about a week ago it crashed to just a few stragglers coming in.

I too did a lot of outsourcing of backlinks - although not with Angela - and probably this is just the 'Google Dance' which comes around.

I have to say though that the PR of the site went up a notch at the same time!

I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as your site hasn't been totally deindexed. Do a site:[your domain] in Google to see if you're still in there.

For new-ish sites Google often bounces around your position, especially when you add more content and links.

I don't feel adding 2 or 3 links a day is too much linking so I would just continue to add content and build links slowly.

        Just my 2 cents...

If Google wasn't batting around your rankings THEN you would have something to worry about. It is fairly standard practice for Google.

    This is good news!!!!

No honestly, any time I have seen myself drop or completely disappear after doing a good amount of high PR back linking I see myself pop up on page 1 or even top result of page 2.

Be happy I think you are in for a good surprise in a few days : D

Don't worry, really, just continue to apply more backlinks. (Hight PR)

You need not too concern about Google, just continuously build massive back links, preferable high PR links.

My experience tells me as long as links not exceed 100 everyday in the first 6 months should be ok, as long as they are all High PR.

Even your site disappear don't mean anything, because your site is too new, let it age till 6 months, you will see consistent rank.

Just keep building links, pages for another 1 or 2 months, your site will show and stay!!!!!!

your post had me, for a moment, worried. because if it could happen to you, then it could happen to me. but after reading all the responses, and everything seemed to be very positive, then there is really no point to worry.
    good luck.

Don't waste too much time with Google result, your blog will float from time to time, until after 4 to 6 months...

Keep building more back links, add more pages (Slowly...at first!).

I agree with kkchoon, keep building links. A steady pattern of building links will go in your favor over the long term and you should not only be able to rise in the search results but maintain your positions too when you are at the top.

there should be some legal good way to rank your site higher, without need of blackhat backlinks... that can put in danger your site or even throw it in the sandbox

backlink your site more often,. this will prevent the google dance from taking such drastic measures. and especially keep backlinking when it disappears, this will appear less fishy,.your site will come back higher in the SERPS in a few days

the 'google dance' is put in place to deter webmasters from backlinking and to scare you in thinking your site disappeared because of your backlinking efforts and to not think that it works. you see, if backlinking worked to take sites out of the SERPS then it would be easy for someone to come along and eliminate their competition. so just keep backlinking,.
