      That's very bad advice. You want as many people bidding and putting ads as possible.
      Less ad space, less bidders.

      So you have an site on junk food. A big corporate site wants ads across the
      board. You are now stuck with a muppet's movie ad showing up. You block
      the muppets. An ad for tide detergent is now there...

      That's just one of a hundred scenarios that make one ad unit a bad idea.

      You do not know how adwords works, or you would never give that advice.

      It may sound strange, but here's a tip that works with that. Make your top
      ad a lightning rod for junk. You'd be amazed at where the real keyword
      people are actually bidding.

      One more. Tons of adwords users who do the display network,
      are not even eligible for the top spot.

      Give people a reason to bid on your site. That means you need a track
      record of traffic with an eye to buy.
