XML sitemap WP plugin for Google News

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with the WordPress plugins that automatically create a XML sitemap according the Google News protocol? I like the tools in Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin, but their News SEO module is broken and is to come back as a premium. I have been looking at the XML Sitemap & Google News feeds plugin along with BWP Google XML Sitemaps:

I am having a hard time finding very much actual first-hand experience with these though. I am inclined to think the former is better for what I need, as this is what it was designed to do, whereas the latter was originally designed to support >50K URLs (I don't care about this at the moment). Has anyone used either (or both) of these, or any other automatic XML sitemap plugins that they recommend?

    I have been used Wordpress XML Sitemap for my blog posts but did not use Google News Feed. So, I don't have much idea about it.

    Since I see this thread is still receiving views, I thought I would mention that I ended up going went with the XML Sitemap & Google News feeds plugin. It is working fine and the support seems good.
