Back Links from Webmaster Forums/Sites

Hello fellows hope you all are enjoying good health. I have come here to discuss some matters related to the back links from irrelevant sites.

Suppose i have signatures from irrelevant site like of real estate site and i am replying to the questions in this forum. Do you think that the backlinks generated from my replies would be worthy for my real estate site by any means?

    Google has warned many times to create only relevant links, if you're creating links from other niche sites then it could hurt your website ranking. As you said you've real estate website then you should focus on building links from real estate related websites only, don't go for health, travel or other niche sites.

      Oh, Google has said that? Proof? I find it odd that they'd recommend building links when building links of any nature are against Google's T.O.S.

        They said nothing of the kind. People just quote someone who knew a guy who
        lives under a rock...saw his shadow, and blogged about it on some SEO-wannabe blog.

        They do give quite a bit of credit for an authoritative link, high up, contextual,
        relative.

        But never said a thing about only going for relative links. That would be insane anyway.

        Do they only run ads on relative sites? Hardly.

        Relative is all relative anyway.

        You people need to start judging so-called seo people and their services by what
        they say. if they say nonsense like only relative links, or some penalty, they
        are clueless. Buyer beware.

    ok, lets suppose someone gets backlinks from irrelevent website, as above he said that he has real estate website and suppose he gets backlinks from garments website, then how google will know that he is getting backlinks from irrelevent websites?
    Google knows everything, how? that's not necessary to know.
    It's true that irrelevant links are not good for your site
