Can having to many adsense ads on your site actually drive down the CPC ?

My thinking is if you have 4 different adsense ads running on a site, that gives googie more ad slots to bid out.



If you had 4 adsense ad slots on a site, and removed two of them, would the slots bid out for a higher CPC ?

    You can only run 3 ad units. No, has nothing to do with CPC.

    The first block always pays more, and so on down the line.

    If you don't run 3 ads, you are essentially leaving other bidders
    and potential clicks off the table.
