What Actually Causes a PBN to Not Flow

When you buy an expired domain you're always told too look for bad anchors, spam, etc. I understand how to look for this stuff all too well......but what no one ever tells you is what actually occurs to a site that is over optimized, spammed, etc that causes it to not pass juice properly?

Clearly a site that was complete spam that simply was de-indexed and wont be re-indexed makes sense, as it cant pass juice if its not indexed.

But what if the site was partially penalized from penguin or hummingbird, where its still indexed, but may be hard to rank?

Since with a pbn we dont care about rankings, if I buy a PBN, it gets indexed, it has high pr authorative links flowing too it, but it has a keyword anchor at 40% when its supposed to be at 15%, what actually happens?

Does an over optimized site not pass juice or something? This has always confused me.

I'm not sure who told you that your keyword anchor percentages have to be 15%, but I would probably stop listening to them.

PBN or not, anchor percentages do not matter as much as people think. In reality, nobody knows what their real anchor percentage is. People can say that Ahrefs shows a site has a keyword with an anchor percentage of XX. Ahrefs only finds a small fraction of the backlinks that are actually out there in most cases. So what about the other 75-80%% of the links that a site has? They could throw the anchor percentages way off from what you believe they are.

Anyhow, to answer your question, in all the network sites I have built, I never bothered to worry about such a thing.
