Hi Folks

If you pause an entire PPC campaign, will the campaign still perform as well when you unpause it in a few days? It's just a need to do this while I re-vamp a landing page. I did this a while ago and it seemed like the keywords didn't perform as well afterwards...but could be my imagination???

Cheers,
Phil

Ah right, that's what I mean, so they seem to penalize you for pausing if the CPC goes up.

I've done this a couple of times and it only took a day to get back to where I was.
How am I going to be able to say something witty? Nothing much to add these guys are sharp and they both gave great advice.

I also recommend messing with yahoo once your campaign is going good again, I've heard really good things about the cost and value of replicating G in other Engines.

Instead of pausing...use day parting or reduce your budget for the campaign down to $1 a day or so.

Pausing always has hurt me in the past......and i really really recommend NOT pausing on the content network, as your ads, and where they appear will have to be re-spidered by Google.

Ah, thanks Kurt.....DOH! Why didn't I think of lowering the daily cost! Ok, I'll do that until I get the landing page converting, then I can increase it again later. p.s I also heard that MSN is good, lower traffic but apparently converts really well.
