2 domains targeting same kw's under same hosting will effect in rankings?

Hi

I heard this, but not sure whether it is real or not, so can anyone had experience with this?

I want to target same kw's with 2 different domain names where this 2 domains has same hosting account. So does both sites will get rank in Google after running SEO, or only 1 domain rank, other don't as Google see both domains are under same hosting account?

So if 2nd domain won't rank then shall I take new hosting account for 2nd domain so Google see 2 domains are under different hosting account.

    Each domain receives it's own page rank. Also, be aware that pagerank works based on the number and quality of backlinks leading to the domain. The fact that both sites are hosted on the same server will not affect anything EXCEPT if google finds that you're doing something that goes against their rules.
    If one of your websites is called out for doing something wrong, you can be sure that google is going to look closely at your second site too.
