My Blog Posts Aren't Indexing Anymore - Please Advise!!

Hey guys. I need some advice on this and I need it fast! My personal blog is about 7 or 8 years old I believe.

When I first started it I used to rank really well. I had gotten it up to a PR3 and everything was swell. Basically anything I blogged about if I optimized it properly would rank on page one.

Then I started disliking certain features of my blog and basically just let it sit there for close to 3 years.

Now that I'm back using it again I have a new theme and all that but for the life of me I can't get my pages indexed.

I've learned a lot since I last blogged on it so I thought my new found skills would help me to rank. But when I blog about something and I go on Google to search for my post it's nowhere to be found.

It still is not showing any of the pages for ANYTHING that I've written since I started blogging on it again.

So my question is, do I continue blogging on it and "hope" that eventually my pages will start ranking again or should I just start over from scratch and start a new blog?

Funny thing is when I searched a keyword the other day for one of my posts my TAG was indexed but the actual page was nowhere to be found.

This is really frustrating, so anyone with advice it will be greatly appreciated.

    So after I wrote this I went and found an index checker to see if my pages were indexed and it said yes. But they're nowhere to be found on Google. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

    Because if I can find them, I know I can rank them.

    It's pretty hard to debug these without the link. It might be something very simple, like accidentally having disallow in robots.txt or noindex in page <head>. Or it might be something way more complex.

    If you've completely changed the page structure (by changing the theme) the SERP positions may "dance" for a while. Google sees that the page has had major changes, so it may take a bit to decide if it should still be in the results.

      You should login in "Google Webmaster tool" and submit your blog there. If there is any issue, warning or anything else then Google will intimate you. You can get all details about your blog from Google eye.

    Hi sownsow, you need to check about whether your website is penalized by Google or what. Are you the only one posting on your blog? Have you any outbound links from your posts without any relevancy? I am asking this because Google has penalized all guest blogging websites two days ago on 19th. Might be you also got this one.

      As KristinaRoy said, submit your site into webmaster's tools. That will help you to know if it is indexed or not. It will also help you to know what keywords you are ranking for.

    Try going to the webmaster tool and under the crawl option select the option "fetch as Google" and wait for some time I am sure your post will get attention by the Google Crawlers.

    Usually when I find my tags in the search it means my site is "penalized" so check that first.
