How to get ranking for website

One of my client need good and stable ranking for his keywords...he is well in seo but still he want to outsource his website.

He asked me to some question to get ranking
1. What should I Do to get stable ranking
2. How many articles should I submit on daily basis?
3. Should I submit One article an more than one website by using spinner or one article per website.


I have told him to do proper on page and add quality content on his website and then asked to do off page work like Social bookmarking, article submissions etc

But he was not satisfied with my ans?

Can anyone help me I was wrong?

    Apparently your client is smart enough to know social doesn't rank pages in Google SERPs.

    Well, you gave a cookie-cutter answer to questions that ranged from open-ended to specific but ill-informed.

    Stable ranking is something you're strive to maintain, but there's no easy answers to that kind of question. What's the situation? What kind of challenges? Budget? Etc... And from that you can derive some kind of strategy.

    Article submission and especially spinning seem like a poor idea unless you really know what you're doing. It's not a bullet on a list, it's something you need to discuss.

    As Yukon pointed out, social doesn't really rank. Social bookmarking is even more useless than so-called social media. I'd be very unimpressed with that kind of answer.

    well... use some search engine optimization tricks we can increase traffic and page rank easily.

    Main basic thing is you should work on various factors of SEO ( search engine optimization) to get your site rank & traffic well in the search engines. Basically, you should link your site to various sites outside the world.

    DO NOT ACCEPT CLIENTS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RANK A SITE.

    If I asked you to fix my fuse box would you do it? No! If I asked you to change my cars engine would you do it? NO!!!!! So WHY ON EARTH do you think its ok to take clients for SEO if you don't know what you're doing?

    Please answer me.

    Is it money? Is it greed?

    Can't you just find someone who CAN rank sites then resell the service? That way you still make money but your client actually gets what he paid for?

    There's no one answer for any of these questions above IMO.
    Every site/situation is completely different- I gained some stable rankings for sites with a handful of links/keywords, and some sites fluctuate for a long time with lots of work.
