Longtail Pro keyword research question

Hey everybody, new here to the forum.

Lets say that I'm doing keyword research in Longtail Pro and one of the results in the top ten of Google doesn't have a page title that exactly matches the keyword I'm researching. I know this is a good sign for me, as one of the biggest factors for ranking is matching the search query. (correct me if I'm mistaken)

However, my question: If this is the case, how relevant are Page Authority and juice page links? Can I completely ignore them and deem this page as easy to outrank, or do I still have to take into account the fact that this page's links were built well and that it is fairly authoritative? Or is it in between?

Thanks,
wholmes

    Hello Wholmes,

Personally I think you may benefit to consider the the other 9 sites to build an overall idea of the space you're in. You're not afterall ultimately vying only for that individual site in the top 10, you're competing with the rest as well.

Google is good for many exceptions with if and then clause so sometimes even without a proper title they can be very tough competition, you can get a better idea of the overall competition by looking at the other sites and their backlink profile, site authority and social presence.

Onsite factor is only one of the many conditions
