a small new startup with a PPC question

Hi all,
I'm am a part of a new startup company which has a cool new site up and running.
we are now facing some dilemmas regarding PPC and i thought the warrior forum is the place to seek help.
We thought about hiring a PPC guy or two and see if they can deliver results for us (which of course means conversions).
do you think it's a good idea?

    I think this would highly depend on your budget and team skills. If someone on your team is versed with internet marketing they be able to better take on your project internally going through Google adwords extensive course (opportunity cost of time though)

    What budget have you set for marketing and do you think PPC is the best avenue of traffic? Ads are a great option for instant traffic though they require sustainable results, you should consider your cost of acquisition for each customer and their value to you.
