Hey buddies

First - This may not be as a perfect asked question as Im a brazilian and have some difficulties sometimes.

Lets suppose I have a main site. "abcd.com" and want to promote it... I then, start a blog and make tons of posts - AND in every post I make citations about my main site - abcd.com ( but Dont use a link ).....

(Not sure if the right word is "citation")

But - by doing this - Can Google interpret as a bad thing Or spam and penalize abcd.com ?

I don't think it would be a problem but why would you do that?

It would only count as 1 so why do so many? Mind as well include citation in footer since you're not actually linking.

You sort of have the right idea, but need adjustments to your plan.

With offsite SEO, you want numerous backlinks, but they must be:

    1) From multiple sites
    2) From powerful and relevant sites
    3) About 1000 other details.

But consider items #1 and #2, which your game plan doesn't cover.

But make sure any link to any OTHER website you feature on YOUR website uses rel=nofollow which essentially stops the passing of your link juice to benefit other sites.

Oh, so, that would also assume that the big powerful sites don't know this rule about rel=nofollow. Oh darn, they do, or they wouldn't be big powerful sites that have all the top google serps positions.

Moral of the story: Linking at all, one direction or the other, just doesn't even make sense anymore.

        Hey guys,
        sorry delay in answering.

As I thought noone would response, I let it go

Well my idea is, as you might have understood.
Make lots of blog posts - good ones and with more than 400 words each.

And then make the citation ( ex - abcd.com ) in every post, AND in some blogs (on the roleplay using a widget text - without link to abcd.com ) - This will make the reader, as he interest, to visit the site ( of course this is not a link There will not be a link). - Certly visitation will be less, as theres no Link. BUT I always show the site name.

OF course this is a long term strategy.- And I'm afraid is this could receive any Google penalty.

Well, it's not count as spam by google but it's better if you just go and make links to different blogs and sites as opposed to your current method. More effective that way. Or you can just make another relevant blog that has different content than your first one and post there again.

Having just one blog mention your main site 100 times is not really going to help you with Google search rankings. Maybe if 100 other blogs talked about your main site that would help. Not referring to spammy backlinking or commenting practices but more to editorially given reviews/blog posts which are made willingly by site owners.
