What are some downfalls of the niche adsense model; is this model worth the time?

I have been contemplating on working on an adsense website, each keyword gets pretty incredible search ranking and there is virtually no competition, however i read that adsense sites especially niche related one's make very little in adsense.

Would you suggest an adsense model first or an affiliate niche site?
- this adsense project has well over 100 articles in which im paying 10$ for
- typical affiliate sites have 5/12 pages

What have you experienced is the best route as a beginner?

You will have to try it on your own and see. Split testing is extremely important part of IM. I'd say start with adsense, see what people are doing on your site (what they read the most) and then maybe find some affiliate products and try with them.

You won't really know until you try it all

Google can deindex you/ban you from Adsense. BAM you're toast.

Adsense only takes people OFF of your page - why not instead get them ONTO your list and market that way?

well i intend to do both but adsense will be the primary model. What exactly do you have to do to get banned?

  • Experiment with both. Are there any affiliate products in the niche you're thinking about entering for adsense? If so, start building a list and add one or two adsense ads and see which one does better over a period of time. Then focus on the one that works best.

I would say Adsense first. But need to test it. Also it depends on your niche. Affiliate offers might be better than Adsense for some niches.

Do you pay 10$ for each article? Total of 1k dollar on articles?

It's just intresting because it gives me some inspiration. I think Im too afraid to spend a lot of money. I just have to realize that in order to make money, i have to spend money.

How many words are your average article? I am creating a swedish adsense site and I pay about 10 dollars for 900 words articles.

Between 700 and 1500 words, the point is that if the author can only write 700 words on the topic, they will get 10$ regardless, if they can write 1500, its still 10$.

Content and backlinks are really the only things you need to spend money on (other than your domain and hosting) to make money online, unless you'r able to write everything yourself, which requires a great deal of knowledge; you have to hire writers.

You definitely cant be scared to put money down on content, you have a higher risk of success as opposed to buying another course telling you things you already know.

and it is best not to drop a full 1K on the content, I pay as I go, so ill usually drop 30/60$ a week on content, put it on my website and then work to rank it the rest of the week and then just repeat this cycle.

I'm no expert on this subject but one of the best products I've ever seen on this subject is AdSense Avalanche.

This is a great guide to show you how to make the most money from your site even if you have a small amount of traffic coming to your site.

The basic idea is to build Adsense sites optimized for very high cost per click keywords.
