Source code size effect page ranking?

Does the source code size effect page ranking on Google? I heard that good website source code is 64kb... Mine is nearly 700kb.

Is that too high? Does this matter?

    It does not affect your ranks, it does affect your visitors. A high load time is not good for usability. Google does consider usability when ranking a website.

    I'll wager that at 700kb that's probably a PHP file correct?

    If so the compiler isn't sending 700k to a user as if/then/else statements and similar like it are probably significantly reducing the amount of code that gets to a users machine.

    If you really are sending 700kb then you probably need to dramatically trim that down. What in the world are you doing that you need so much code?

    I wrote an entire click and drag front end from javascript with a ton of objects and didn't need 700k.

    Just as someone said, the size of the file doesn't matter, but google absolutely DOES consider load times in their ranking algo

    Oh, OK.

    Well it's this theme: Avada
    It has a of sliders and extra features that I don't ever use. You can't remove them though.

    I love the theme, it needs some slimming though, or more customization.

    Anyways ... if I can get the load time down to <3secs, I'd be fine anyways, right? <3 is still the magic number, right?
