[HELP] Visitor Numbers Drop after Being Hacked

Two weeks ago my website was hacked & I only realized it after 4 days later (as I never checked my site every day). Then since I know very little about programming stuff I asked my friend to have it checked & he found some script in the wp-admin & after the script was removed, my site is back to normal.

However the number of visitors have dropped significantly after the incident. Before it was hacked, I got about 75 visitors per day, and I received around 5 contacts each DAY. And since it was hacked 2 weeks ago, I've hardly got any contact within each WEEK.

Before it was hacked, my main visitors were from Malaysia & Singapore, which are my main target. Now after it was hacked, the very few visitors are not from my target countries at all (Europe, small cities in Indonesia, USA, and other random countries).

My questioans are:
1. Why is this happening though the script has been removed?
2. What shall I do to go back to the previous condition before it was hacked (more visitors each day from my target countries).

I have checked that my main keywords are still on high rank on google.com.sg. So what's going on with my site?

Look at your Google Cache (text version), is the cache page spammy?
    • When did you fix the problem (exact date)?
    • What's the cache date (exact date)?

Did you check in Google if the site listings are still showing "this site may harm your computer" or not? That could be the reason. I'd say, do a completely new wordpress install with a clean backup and then submit your website in Google Webmaster tools and then give it a week or so.

    Dear Oranges,

Thanks for your advise, I'll do that. Actually I've checked on google & none of my site shows that message. Before the script was removed, when we clicked on the listing on google, it shows the hacker's page. Now it's back to my site.

    Yukon:
I think my site was repaired on 16th March 2014 after it was hacked since 12th March 2014, but I don't know where to check the cache date.
