    According to me, No follow links are not harmful for website. No-follow links are used to boost the more traffic in website and assists keywords ranking.

    I don't think nofollow links can assist in rankings. However, such links can bring traffic (if they are placed on quality resources) and they are also really useful to diversify your backlink profile, which sends positive signals to search engines.

      It all depends on where the nofollow is.

      Twitter, FB, other social shtuff, even wikipedia, are different nofollow animals.

      Going around the web, dropping nofollow links on blogs, articles, etc. is
      just bad. If you don't think those links are "hurting," you are kidding yourself.
      You are signalling your site links as untrusted spam.

      To turn that around, watch out for nofollow links on your own site and use
      it as it was intended, and very, very sparingly, if at all. BTW, I have never
      used nofollow on any of my sites. I have no reason to signal something as
      untrusted spam. In fact, to combat the nofollow scam going around, google
      is now splitting PR up in the ratio of links on the page, including nofollow.
      Nofollow now contributes to a lowering of PR to links on a particular page.

      I have no idea why people think nofollow is natural or is something you
      need to get. A complete waste of time and effort. Like I said, twitter
      and other such things are not in this mix.
