How long for Google to rank an article on EZA?

OK - I have contributed a couple of hundred posts in less than a week, now you can help me.

I like the idea of using Ezine Articles to rank articles with links to my products.

I say this because very often when I search on Google I see EZA articles on the first page.

How long does it take to rank a new article on Google?

What is needed to keep it there?

Anyone use Scribd or other article based site with success?

    From what I have read here in this forum, here are a few points to note:
    1. Not all articles will be ranked
    2. Generally, articles lose rank or even become de-indexed over time

      That is right. One of my articles has even make it to the first page after two hours from submitting it. Sometimes it also depends on the right keywords you have in your article.

    Not all articles will be ranked. Some will take a few days, while others will take a few weeks. Don't rely on Google to get you traffic. You may write 100 articles and this may get you some traffic and it may not.

    Again, don't rely on your articles to get you a lot of traffic. Make sure that you focus on other advertising ventures too.
