A little help on a few questions.

Hi all,

I own a website that publishes news, reviews and interviews in the rock music genre.

The website title was 'Site Name Magazine' The website no longer does Magazines(PDF) now and we simply publish articles to our main site using wordpress.

I was wonder what effect will it have on my sites SEO, positon and how people find us? Now that we have removed the 'Magazine' in our titles of the articles and our sites actual title. We have kept all previous articles to have 'Magazine' but all future will simply be 'Site Name' This will be changed in Yoasts SEO Title:.

Also we changed our Facebook by removing the word 'Magazine' the problem with that is, our Facebook is on the first page when typing the site name, but the link is no longer valid, when will this be removed? How can I go about getting the new url to be there instead?

Just looking for some advise, thanks!

    No idea really, did you track how visitors found you in Google, did they actually type in the word "magazine" in their search phrases?

    You could try to build some links to your new Facebook page to speed it up, Google is not always so fast when changing things, can take from days up until weeks.

      Hi,

      They seem to search either site name with magazine or just site name, both show in Google webmaster tools. With the magazine word its average position is 1.0 and without it and just the site name the average position is 1.2. I can see that without the word magazine we have more impressions but less clicks than if they type magazine.

      We are not a big site yet, slowly learning SEO and working on better numbers coming our way. We only average around 3 to 4 thousand visitors per month.

      Just thought I would ask more experienced people what long term problems I may face.
