Domain name that will bring the most traffic

I am trying to determine what the best plan of attack is to get the most traffic. I have written 2 400 page guides, one for AP Calculus and another for AP biology. I would like to post these online for students to use and they are very resourceful. I am trying to find out how to do this to get the most traffic. I was using the Adwords key planner and I found that "ap notes" is searched on avg 6000 times a month. I checked go daddy and apnotes.com or .net is not available, but these are:

calculusapnotes.com

and

biologyapnotes.com

Will these in essence still allow users searching for "ap notes" to easily find me? As I have "ap notes" in the domain name, shouldnt this in effect get me on the 1st page og google rather easily as its a direct hit and probably exactly what the person searching is looking for?

Also, I found these are available:

    onlineapnotes.com
    apnotesonline.com

Would these both have a good chance to come up 1st in google if someone searches "ap notes".

Stop worrying about google and ranking. Build a brand able site with a brand able domain and target people who are in school via Facebook. Easy peasy.

Thanks, thats the plan. But the subject is very basic; AP Notes...so I didnt know if having AP Notes in the name would not only make sense, but also serve a purpose for people searching.

It all depends on your marketing and SEO. This means you can choose any domain you like best.

calculusapnotes.com and biologyapnotes.com are pretty long and not really easy-to-remember. Stick for something short, easy to remember, and easy to type. AllAPNotes.com or yourapnotes.com look better from this perspective.

Note that the keyword 'ap notes' in the domain name won't get you to the top of Google by itself. In recent years Google has de-prioritized sites with keyword-rich domains because many low-quality websites ranked high just because their domain names contained keywords.

However, a keyword in a domain name can be beneficial because other users will use your URL as anchor text when linking. And since keywords in anchor text are a ranking factor, having them in a domain name can have a positive impact.

      Absolutely.. Not! I disagree 100%.

There was a time when anchor text or keyword matched domains had an advantage, but those days are gone. That's Google 101 stuff there.

I believe, and most likely will for a long while yet, you can pick about any domain name you like, and for SEO and rankings, it won't matter.

However, have 2 different domains, one being like RockyMountainOysters.com -vs- SurpriseTastyTreats.com, and given the SEO on both are identical, I believe the domain that is more keyword specific or match will come out slightly ahead. Not so much in SEO ranking, but the relevance and perception of the domain by it's readers and what they do to share the website that gains the additional traffic and links.

"Hey, have you checked out SurpriseTastyTreats.com?" ... "No. Why, should I?"
"Hey, have you checked out RockyMountainOysters.com?" ... "Seriously?!!, there's a website for them? Wow, I'll check 'em out now!"

      LOL! My two bits worth.
