Question For Link Building Expert

Hello warriors,

I want to rank for a certain keyword locally, meaning when somebody search for local searches only on google, I want to rank there as high as possible.

Now my question... Will getting links from other countries to my site help my local ranking? Or do the links need to come from local sites?

    Yes, links from local sites will help you more but you can't neglect the links from other sites as well.

    To get better localized optimization, it is recommended that you register the domain in the country TLD, host it on the same region server and do the link building from local sites.

      I want to rank on the google.co.za server,

      Now, the site that is first for the keyword that I want to rank for, here is his links: (used SEO elite)

      .com - 180
      .net - 20
      .co.za - 90

      Well, most of them are .com links. I think I'm going to try to get links from all the websites where he got links from. What do you think?

      It's difficult because he has reciprocal links to almost all the sites that are linking to him on a links page on his website. But I don't want to arrange links with other webmasters that is too time consuming!

      One thing that I noticed, more than half of those links are from directories! Looks like directories still works?
