Pretend your job was to work for Google and evaluate people's link profiles.

What sort of links would you look at it and think they were bad?

Links with hundreds of words of obviously spun content that is basically gibberish with a link pasted in the middle that has no relevance to the content at all would be one example of a bad link.

I think you should check below points in link audit:
    - Site-wide links
    - Anchor text %
    - Delete links from from low quality directory and article site
    - Dofollow author bio links
    - Link from Blog network

Can you nofollow those author bio links?

To answer your question which links could be bad, like many people have said here, it's never possible to tell with 100% certainty. For example, we just added the Link Audit feature to SEO SpyGlass that will mark certain links as really risky, questionable or trusted.

But it doesn't mean one should use these results to rush to disavow every link SEO SpyGlass considered bad. It's just there to help you estimate a backlink profile at a glance.

It's very easy with experience, you just know when you're looking. If you don't have that experience then you don't really understand the difference.

Some signs to look out for with bad links:

    - Spun Content
    - Low Quality Directory Links
    - Anchor Rich Forum and Profile Links
    - Articles on Blogs with Links in ALL Posts

Please for God's sake stop using forum links and paying so much attention to anchor text. it pains me to see how people still disregard or don't pay heed to the Penguin 2.0 update.

You'll do yourself more harm than good by doing those!

There no such tool which can rectify good or bad links, all you have to visit and identify the relevancy, use and quality of backlink. I would suggest to visit backlinks from Google webmaster tool first, as these links are primary and consider by Google.

Use Google disavow tool for all unnatural links, it really works and show good result in SERP
    thanks

Once you've examined enough websites, you kind of get a feel for what's good and what's bad about link profiles. Obviously, avoid stuff like sex and gambling, unless you're selling that sort of thing. There are a number of things that contribute to domain health, including referring IP/Domain diversity, blog comment links, and the like.

You can usually tell if SEO has been done on that domain. I stay away from those domains that have had some SEO working on it; they're not all bad, but I never know how much of it I'm not seeing and how good the SEO was at his job.

Good links should be anchor text based upon your brand, or url but make sure you vary it.
