NEED SOME INFO ON INDEXING MY SITE

I am super close to having my website completely finished off, a few weeks ago i received an email to index my website but its asking for $97 when i get to the final step. I wasn't aware there was a cost to indexing your site on the search engines. the email was for a site called domain services online. Is it a scam or?

Any help to find my way to indexing my sites would be great, also should i do my seo before indexing or can it be done after? like i said my site is almost finished i wish to have it indexed while i finish it so it doesn't make the process longer, as soon as I've finished my last piece of content I'm going to put all my keywords in.

Is this the order of which it should be done. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

P.s how do i make the title bold I've noticed my threads don't get much attention and this appears to be the reason why.

That service is crap. There is nothing magical about getting your site indexed. In most cases, Google will find it on its own.

You can also signup the site for Google's Webmaster Tools and submit a sitemap. That usually speeds it up.

Honestly, I have never launched a site that was not indexed in a week or two, and I have never tried doing anything special to get one indexed.

    The email is a scam.

Use the free Google Webmaster Tools, Fetch as Google tool. It takes about 30 seconds to index a page/URL.

I've been using the Fetch tool each time I build a new page or update an old page, works great, even on new domains which is what I'm working on today.

THIS IS SCAM! Do not use such services. You can index in a matter of hours. You just have to post your website on websites that are already indexed. Facebook, Twitter are a great way to do this even faster (just do NOT spam!)

    That's hilarious an indexing service.

Kind of ingenious if you think about it. Just mass email newly registered domains, make a few sales, and then Google takes care of the rest! lol

No but seriously, don't pay for it that's a scam.

Here is a Video I made for submitting site maps from another project.

Pay special attention to 1:50 where I turn up the crawl rate this is a standard practice I do for all new sites.

With my large sites it lets me turn this up a little more every couple days and maxes out at 10RPS and 800k pages crawled perday.

If you have a very large site after about a week at 800k you turn back to automatic and it will double again.

If you have a really large site and have any more questions let me know.
