Negative seo or what ?

Hi,
I did look into awstats on cpanel and find about 20 links coming from porn sites to my site.
I did upload file to disawow tool on google.

I realy dont know if this is affecting my website but I do have solid site but not yet so many strong backlinks to fight against low quality backlinks. Also I have been losing rank in past few month´s.

Anyway. If this is not negative seo then why should these porn site been linking to my website ?

Looking forward to see if disawow tool will make any difference

    Assuming you are not in the adult or dating industry, there is a good chance it is negative SEO.

    Use Google's disavow tool.

      Am not. I did use disavow tool already but to early to see any result

    If you have not build these links yourself, then it is highly likely that these links are build by some of your malicious competitors who doesn't want you to rank later. You should check your site for backlinks at least once a week. There are many free tools you can use to check the links coming to your site.     Use the Google disavow tool to remove these links.

    I don't really think 20 is that many to worry about. Although I guess I'd be pretty annoyed if, for example, I had 25 links and 20 of them were coming from adult sites.

      Yes, it more easy to bring down website that dont have many good links then the strong one...

    Have you tried contacting the owners? If they are out to hurt you they are most likely going to ignore you but if they are not you might get positive response.

    However, the overall idea is to disavow the links.

      no I did not try to contact them.
      I just count on that disavow tool will do what is needed
