When Should I See Ranking Increase From my Backlinks?

I have ordered $900's worth of backlinks for my website. I know it will take time to see increases but it's been nearly 2 weeks and I don't think Google has even picked up any of the backlinks. I have been checking ahref/positionly.

When do you think I should expect to see any kind of increase at all for my SERP rankings?

    Hello taylerhughes ,

what kind of links did you ordered ?
Usually needs around 2-3 weeks in order to see some bumps at google.
Also has to do with the competition of the keywords you need to rank.

      I ordered.

      2 x PR7 BACKLINKS + 5 x PR6 BACKLINKS + 30 x PR5 BACKLINKS + 20 x PR4 BACKLINKS + 10 X PR3 BACKLINKS

for each of my 3 keywords. The competition is high end of medium.

The website went live 2 weeks ago an I'm already getting 40 uniques a day from long tail organic searches. I'm hoping that even if I don't make it to the first page for my target keywords I will at least see a large amount of long tail traffic.

Oh boy you bought a heavily over priced blog comment package right?

Yeah I think I know exactly what you bought and also from who.

Be ready to get penalized soon, worse spam you can buy, and I wouldn't be surprised if your rankings don't improve at all. If these are placed 2 weeks ago and your site has no known issue's then 9 out of 10 times results kick in after 3-6 days.

You don't quantify backlinks that way and can't keep hovering over your backlink checker for new indexed links.

Besides, two weeks is a very short time to start judging.

However, everything boils down to the kind of SEO your provider is offering you, the quality as well as relevance really counts.

Assuming that they are truly quality backlinks that are targeted to your websites content, I would have expected to see some sort of evidence by now.

If Google hasn't picked up on these backlinks after 2 weeks, I would began questioning the quality and or relevance of the links.

How are you tracking the links?

It's only been a week-ish since the links went live and they are being drip fed.

              I'm using ahrefs.com.

I still would have thought they would have been discovered by Google.

A good backlink in my opinion would be placed on a pretty well trafficked page that Google bots visits often. In this case backlinks should be picked up almost instantly. I would expect nine-hundred bucks to purchase a few fairly good links.

Have you ever purchased from this particular source before?

No but they are a very popular WF service provider.

I think I will give it a week before I start worrying.

I haven't needed to wait this long in the past though and I've even had crappy links from fiver start showing results in this time.

Wow, $900 on backlinks & no show for 2 weeks!

I have free backlinks that get indexed & cached in about 2-3 days, including showing up in ahrefs & about a week later some are showing in WMT.

How many links did you buy & what types of links, are they high PR links directly on the same page that your backlink will be located?

BTW, ahrefs has nothing to do with Google, they're two completely different bots owned by two completely different businesses.

    Hi,

Once you have built your backlinks it'll take some time for Google to index your links. The best way is to create a Google Webmaster Tools account and submit a sitemap.xml which is updated with new content on your site. First, Google usually indexes sites which have constant fresh new content being added. This is now part of Googles freshness algo.

Next, this applies to the other external websites as well which you are building links from. You'll notice that article directories tend to get indexed much faster because new content is always being added to them. Keep track of the indexing using tools like Arefs and MajesticSEO.

Run a search today and count your backlinks and then in a few days to see any changes.

Those are some very expensive backlinks. Are they permanent or rented?

How long are the links being dripped out for? On such a young site, I'm worried about your link velocity. I hope he threw in a social package to help justify the influx of backlinks.

To answer your original question, I'm seeing high variation in response time between when a backlink is indexed and the SERP adjusts. Between 3-14 days. Typically older sites have the faster response time, while younger sites take longer to respond in the SERPS, as is your case.

But you have another factor to consider: Did you send links in too fast? Keep an eye on Webmaster Tools.

A little patience will go a long way here. You said the site only went live 2 weeks ago. Google is still trying to figure your site out. I build a lot of sites and I am finding that these days, it is taking me 90 t0 120 days for the sites to mature, and rank fairly high. If the links you bought were worth $900.00, then they will show in ahrefs shortly, and your site will start getting the benefit of those links right away. However, that being said, let the site ripen a little bit. No need to check rankings or ahrefs every day....build a new site, focus your attention elsewhere, and come back to the site in question 45 days from now.

I think you are in Hurry! also make a lot of payment worst.

Always Prefer White Hat SEO and If you expecting to improve your ranking in just 1-2 weeks it is Black Hat SEO.
Organic SEO is a slow process it always takes 3-6 months or more to rank up! If Your Website Traffic or Ranking increase in some days in so large amount then Google will surely track you and you will get penalized.

Always use White SEO Techniques that give you effective & long live results. If you want SERP in a Hurry Way(Black Hat SEO) you will be first come in the rank but after some time you will be push out by Google.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm going to talk to my backlinks provider, see what he says about it. Then just wait it out, start work on another website like someone suggested.

I really hope things start to pick up though, I can't afford to put out anywhere near this much on backlinks again.

I will update the thread with what happens in the coming weeks.

    Panic over.

The links started showing up yesterday. I got the link report from my service provider the day before that.

I think what happened is that they didn't submit the links when they told me they did. Given that not one of the links showed up before yesterday then 10+ at once and another 10+ so far today.

Let's hope I start to see their affect on my rankings.

    Thanks for the advice.

This is excellent advice. A tiered linking structure (eg: 3 tier link pyramid) is a very viable, effective SEO strategy in that it reinforces and gives extra "link juice" to your original backlinks. Want to make it even more powerful? When you build backlinks to your original backlinks via wikis, bookmarks, etc, use synonyms of your targeted keywords and related terms as anchor text. Also, you should try to get build links that are dofollow.

Normally 1 week the most to have your backlinks indexed but with such bulk numbers of high PR backlinks it will be hard to swallow and will put you either on Google dance or worse penalized and ranking will be very hard for you in the end game.

For a 2 weeks old site having such backlinks that you ordered you'll probably be on Google's watchlist. Just hope they won't find out that you purchase/ordered those backlinks.

Time constraint depends on competition of anchor terms to what you built links and how often search engine crawlers visit the website on which you built links . Indexing and ranking update will occur as soon as Google webmaster reflect new links in database for your site.

Ahrefs has picked up 72 links.

Yeah I think I could have gone about this a better way.

What you get in WMT are "Sample Links". Google never shows you your complete backlink profile.

If you're seeing positive movement in SERPs I wouldn't be too concerned with what shows up in WMT.

          That's exactly what I'm thinking.

I paid via Paypal so I might be able to file a dispute for doing more harm than Good.

I have just spoken to the service provider and they confirmed they didn't diversify the anchor text at all.

I have emailed asking them to diversify and them responding confirming that they will. So I can show that to PP.

          • The best strategy to see faster results would be to choose keywords and keyword variations which are easier to rank and have decent search volume. This would get faster results and also have long lasting ranking.

Keywords which have higher competition need a lot of work and still might not get ranked as google updates its algorithm very frequently.

if Google gets to know that the links you ordered are paid links then it will not crawl and might also penalize your website. the problem with this paid links is most of them are already marked spam by Google. so better avoid paid links.

    Ok.

The epic story of will he rank / wont he rank is over.

I got a refund. The supplier reluctantly agreed the anchor text was nothing positive.
