Any legit Fiverr gigs for backlinks, or am I just hurting myself long-run?

Okay, don't kill me for asking this, as I know a large chunk of the SEO stuff on Fiverr is unrealistic/bot clicks/junk, but I'm more interested in the manual backlinking ones. Not "I'll get you 10,000 links from PR-whatever sites", but the "I'll manually do 20 backlinks for you". Are they legit? Could I get burned long-run, or is my risk simply $5? Trying to get a little traction on a handful of new niche sites I'm working on.

I know it's typically "you get what you pay for", but I've had some success on Fiverr with graphics, voice overs, and some article writing, and $5 can actually go a long way in a lot of countries where the Fiverr's are located.

Worth a shot, or run in the opposite direction as quickly as possible?

    How many legitimate posts would you make on someone else's behalf for $3.87 or whatever low wage the end user actually gets? Not many. Some graphics, some voice overs and perhaps some whiteboard videos are legit (forget articles) but traffic is something to STAY CLEAR of.

    Why don't you try it yourself? Perhaps not on your money sites at first, but some test site. Then look at the report and if the sites and links look legit, just go for it.

    There are some great fiverr campaigns out there and most are buying high PR links from established websites. Look for websites with traffic and high Google Pagerank. If it's permanent, then that's even better!

    Op its a saying "you get what you pay for" so what can you expect in 5 bucks? Yes, I purchase backlink services from fiverr too but only for my tier2/3 links.

    I will always try my level best to stay away from Fiverr Gigs for SEO stuff! Some people may have achieved significant results throughout the gigs but for a long run I don't think they will actually work.

    I always practiced myself to use Fiverr Gigs only to purchase design related Gigs!

    I personally think that most of the Fiverr SEO Gigs use public link networks that will soon get slapped by Google, or they use some type of link building software which Google may consider to be a black hat SEO techique as well.

        Better to stay away from those gigs. Fiverr can be good for design and translation services, but buying traffic gigs is just asking for trouble as they´re spammy services.

    You have to think about value for money. What do you really think you will get for $5? 5 to 10 minutes of someone else's time?

    So in terms of the work they'll be doing, it's going to be rushed and almost certainly black hat.

    I find fiverr is good for graphic design work but I try to stay away from the seo gigs purely because the big G is bound to be aware of the tactics people are using on there!

    Obviously most fiverr mass links are networked gsa or scraped. There are some good sellers on fiverr who will do manual work on higher PR sites which can save you time.
    Look for seller who are willing to do higher pr work but don't expect some sort of ranking miracle. You can have them build out web 2.0 sites.. and then point lots of links to them and have the 2.0's directly link to your site using them as a buffer site to your main site. Again for $5 or so your not getting major work done but it is suitable to build links to web 2.0's and then onto your main site. Use relevant smaller sites and ensure they are varied in IP, follow /no follow, video, etc. As if google does hit your lower tier site, they do not go after your main site without a reason to check it out, so keep it safe from bad linking and it will help just not as much as some claim..

      4 posts in, and this is some really desperate shameless self promotion. Aren't these posts bannable? At least try to be subtle.

      I would never order a backlinking gig from fiverr, even a manually done one. But if you MUST do it, make sure that you get a list of all the Login/PWs in case you have to remove the links for any reason.

    The gig itself will tell you what it is going to tell you what it is going to provide. Nobody will provide 100 good quality backlink for $5, whereas it is very much possible that someone is providing 5-10 good quality links for $5.

      You are better to try and get some high authory, high pr contextual links to your website. Maybe try guest posting or rent from someone who has these links for sale in your niche.
