Has it dropped and remained dropped for a while now? Every now and then Google likes to play games with my sites and they will even disappear from the rankings altogether for a day or two. In that case, they'll probably bounce back.

If it has remained dropped, I would just make sure to maintain relevant content on the site. Make a couple relevant blog posts over the next couple weeks. Definitely make sure you don't go crazy throwing crappy backlinks at it though (but I'm sure you already knew that)! I just remember doing that back in the old days and seeing my sites disappear for good

There's been rumors that Panda is going through a refresh. I wouldn't be surprised if your site is one of the earlier casualties...

Could you please be more specific? What kind of drop do you see? What kind of keywords/niche are you ranking for? How do you track the SERP positions?

Maybe it's the time of the night, but I don't get what "can't pass x mark" means.

It's not exactly a rumor when Google's representatives have confirmed it. Google is constantly changing the algorithm, and it might of course change rankings. However, most people don't have good evidence of Panda, but are looking for a easy explanation. You can whine and moan about it, and blame algorithm changes, or try to improve things.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

What's this 1,606? Also, this could be an effect of Google dance. Does this happen in Google only?
