Chinese/Ukraine Traffic Screwing up Bounce Rate

I just realized on one of my sites, I have had a huge number of chinese/ukraine bots coming on my site. Somehow a few get counted on analytics and messes up my bounce rate. Around 20% of my traffic in analytics was from China with a bounce rate of 90%. Even though the Chinese traffic that was recorded in Analytics was only a percentage of the actual amount of bots.

I took the time of going through hundreds of IPs and blocking them on my hosting firewall. So far it looks to be working. Not only were they messing up my bounce rate they also ate up a large amount of bandwidth.

Just a suggestion for others to look into your traffic logs (not analytics) because they dont always show these bots.

I actively block Chinese and Ukraine traffic as these are bot traffic. They are also sneaky with the user agents. You can only detect them with patterns.

From what I am seeing, 80% of the internet traffic is bot traffic. Amazing.
