Blocking Crawlers Yay

I've heard too many conflicting arguments to make a decision on my own.
People say its a footprint to do it, or its not worth it because AHREFS doesnt honor it, or because usually only "blackhat" type sites that have something to hide would block crawlers.
Others say it must be done to stop neg seo, reporting, etc.
Still wondering if it should be down for PBN's or not?
