What does this mean in Open Site Explorer?

I found an expired domain I want but in evaluation on Open Site Explorer when I go to the "Top Pages" tab under "HTTP Status" it says "Blocked by robots.txt". Is that something to worry about. It's got good backlinks, ref. domains, and anchor text, and DA and PA are good, trust flow at 15 and citation flow at 12.

How can the domain be expired If it has a robots.txt file? The file has to be hosted somewhere which means it's not expired. At the very least the domain is parked.

Do the research, otherwise your just guessing.

That's kinda whats throwing me off. It's on expireddomains.net under a godaddy auction. Going to the url there is no site but wayback machine shows one.

Wayback shows the history of a site, a site could have existed in the past.

Is the domain indexed in Google SERPs? If it's still indexed then it was dropped very recently (week or two). Check for both indexed pages in Google SERPs & any Google cache pages.

Keep in mind 3rd party data (OS, ahrefs, etc...) will always be outdated data.

Couldn't it be that the site is still hosted and went to auction? Or the site wasn't recrawled yet by open site explorer since expiring and thus it still has the blocked robots.txt file?

Check WHOIS information for the URL. Chances are, it's not expired yet.

A domain can go to auction without being expired.
