Im dying here, please help me understand this.

How is it possible that site is out ranking my and my competition websites (and some of them do a really good seo work) and that site has all links coming from:
banner links from non related websites;
websites made only for music streming - radio stations with poor or no content at all;
and crapy sites with copy/paste content on them

He is submiting those websites to radio station directories and that way getting link juice and then link everything to money site.
I You dont beive me just lok a link profile on this site:
www. airport-taxi-vienna .at and what is even more crazy he is not changing links
pointing them to new website www. willtaxi .at and his first website is still holding top 3 position on first page of google for money keywords.

Can You please tell me what do You think about this?
Im going crazy here :confused:

    This may just be another example of relevance not being as important as we think. I've always made sure to get all links from relevant sites, and will continue to do so. But according to this Moz blog post, no one has been able to prove that relevance really matters (YouMoz - A User Generated Search Industry Blog - Moz

    So number one, a lot of people in the SEO field, and even outside the field, think that it must be the case that if links really matter for SEO, then on-topic links matter more than off-topic links. So, for example, if I'm linking to two websites here about gardening resources, A and B, both about gardening resources, and one of those comes from a botany site and the other one comes from a site about mobile gaming, well, all other things being true, it must be that the one about botany is going to provide a stronger link. That's just got to be the case.

    And yet, we cannot seem to prove this. There doesn't seem to be data behind it or to support it. Anyone who's analyzed this problem in-depth, which a number of SEOs have over the years -- a lot of people, who are very advanced, have gone through the process of classifying links and all this kind of stuff -- seem to come to the same conclusion, which is Google seems to really think about links in a more subject/context agnostic perspective.

      You are making the mistake of thinking that those backlinks are helping.
      They may, they may not. You also mistake the value of some backlinks.
      Why do you think so many want a sig link here?

      So many people whine about a competitor, instead of getting to work.

    Thank You DiggitySEO.

    Hi paulgl.
    "So many people whine about a competitor, instead of getting to work."

    I learn everything by myself,there is no one to ask in person about seo.
    I search net everyday about seo and I like to learn.

    I already submited my site to quality directories (I used opensiteexplorer,ahrefs,majestic seo to check them),I made useful comments on niche related blogs,I created blog on my website,I have facebook,twitter and google+ page,...
    I cant remember everything I have done,Im trying to use everything I learn from Moz,quicksprout,warriorforum,saochat,...)

    Its easy for You to say get to work.
    I want to but to do what?

    OK, if you're really want to know what your competitor is doing, dig a little deeper. Sounds like you've not got to the bottom of why you're outranked. Most SEO types have got at least a couple of secret weapons to help with reverse-engineering backlinks.

    Lastly, I agree with paulgl. Only Google knows what value those backlinks have.

    Good luck!

    Filipsa,

    To help you find more help with your questions, here is rule #3 established in the New Members area for posting:

    3. Use subject lines that indicate something specific about your question. Subjects like "Heeelllp!" or "I'm annoyed" are pointless and waste people's time. They also usually fail to get the attention of the folks most well-equipped to give you useful answers.

    I believe your "Come one, can any one help me with this one please?" fits in that accordingly.

    Good luck,

    LW

    I'm having a tough time understanding what it is your asking in your post? Your writing is plagued with jumbled rants and hard to decipher what it is you're asking.

    If you're asking why your competitor is outranking you, which I think that is the question.

    Well you need to have some tools at your disposal so you can look at their backlinks, anchor text, on page seo, just to name a few. There are tons of free tools to use to spy on your competition, and then just find out how many backlinks you need and what kind of anchor text balance you need and start creating more content that people like to read.
