Hey There,

I would like to confirm one myth in the public if changing the title of the site can drop the SERP?

My site was EMD and it's totally outranked now...

Thanks!

Change in Title Tag does affects SE rankings. Title Tags are still an important factor in Google Algo, unlike meta description or keywords tag.

But it could go either way though - your website might rank lower or higher depending upon the keyword

Well, I made the placement changes only. Like

Title: Main Keyword - WordA, WordB and WordC

So I made new title: Main Keyword - Word C, WordB and WordA.

Now tell what caused the SERP Drop? Site is just 2 weeks old and I made title change 4 days ago and the next day it went out of rank.. and till now it's outranked.

Seems like the change in ranking was caused by Title change only. However since your website is new, it is normal for fluctuations to take place. Title Tag change results in fluctuations as well for a few days. The rank which you will see after a week or so should be the final position assigned to you.

So what you think I should do as of now? Because, I am not so much good in SEO at all.

I'm as of now is a small IMer in terms of SEO.. So I have to be careful.

Do you recommend me to use the very same site with the new domain sir?

      Thanks!

Changing site titles definitely affects rankings, happened to me- always a good idea never to mess with it once you see that page ranking well unless it's updating the content on the page-

Seeing as how you managed to rank your site the first time, there's no reason why your site couldn't very well return to its original rankings, perhaps you should give it a week or two before taking any action..

        best of luck,

There is nothing wrong if you have changed the title. You need to wait for about 1-2 weeks to see if your site will be back on track and if not then again change the title to the original one.

What do you mean my this? Have you actually changed the site's domain too, or why are you speaking about your exact match domain in the past tense?

EMD is not the SEO booster it used to be after Google changed the algorithms.

nowadays google even changes your title by itself, showing other text in their SERPs so... If they find your title overoptimised, they will definitely NOT use it

    Hello,

This is the first time when my domain came up to the 11th Rank on the Google.com for the keyword. It came directly come from the 300+ Rank to the 11th rank.

    Things I did:

    1. The Web2.0s which I made initially, I spammed those Web 2.0s with GSA.

    2. I ordered some 10 High Quality Social Bookmarking from the Fiverr.com

Let me know if it's a temporary thing or what?

What thing I should do now.. or steps?

    Thanks everyone

"High quality social bookmarks" sounds like an oxymoron to me. Maybe there's a site that isn't nofollow or spammed to death, but doesn't sound too likely.

Based on that link profile you should expect to be bounced around by Google. By the way there is no such thing as "high quality" and fiverr in the same sentence. Even worse when you ad "Social bookmarking" to the sentence

Yes, be careful when changing your site's title. If your keyword is in the title, and your site has a good ranking already on Page 1, I recommend not touching the title.
