Dear Warriors,

I just want to know whether we should go for a freelancer (who would be much cheaper in this case) or going for a agency for a fresh website that will be in the Travel niche and works as a meta search engine. We would be working as affiliate for bookings of hotel/car hire/flight tickets and such. So obviously we want to know whether we should go for a freelancer for our SEO or Agency that charges us a 2500$ while the freelancer charges us for 1000$...Money is not a issue it's whether taking things slowly if needed instead of jumping on something that actually is not needed...to see result it takes time we know that!

A little help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

You can just try out reputable SEO companies online or in your local area to help in doing your seo. There are many warriors here providing SEO Services. It is unlikely that your competitor will divulge their SEO companies. Of course if you have the time, it does help to learn abit of SEO as well.

    Hope that helps

Whether your going to go with a firm or a freelancer, make sure to check out their previous work thoroughly, and their websites. If they can't rank themselves, they can't rank you.

Most SEO salespeople can't rank themselves.

Don't go for any SEO company/freelancer who guarantees fast results as SEO is a slow process, to give fast results they might create too many backlinks which can raise a spam flag with google and other search engines and instead of improving your SERP results you might end up earning a google penalty.

Try to contact a few SEO company and freelancer and try to find out what strategy are they going to use to rank your website, how many backlinks are they going to create, what kind of ONSITE changes they want you to do?

For now thank you all for replying.

I am currently in between going for highervisbility or ebrandz (or another one that asks only around 700USD) both of them seemed to me very professional. Both of them range price is around 2k.

But as i mentioned before the problem i have is if i should go from the start with them or not...

$2k is pretty reasonable...Ive priced a couple that asked for $3-$5k.

Honestly, it depends on your site. If you want to rank high to build a list to sell...then $2k is probably not the way to go. if you want to rank high to sell your $50 widgets, than ranking high for people looking for widgets is worth $2k...

    just my 2 cents...

Hmmm I don't want to sell a list or anything I will be working as a affiliate actually...

If money is not an issue then an agency would be better because they have more man power.

However, personally I would hire a freelancer because with a freelancer you will be in direct contact with the person doing the SEO for you.

Unlike an agency where you would contact with the manager and the manager would be in charge of the link builder, on page seo guy, etc.

+ if the freelancer is good, you can even try to bring him on board as a full-time.

I will suggest you to go for a professional SEO company instead of hiring a freelancer. Company can give you guaranteed services and other benefits too.Like if the company is into SEO and web development services then they fix some development related errors also, for instance errors like W3C validation errors.
