Adsense/Amazon question

Hi,
I had a question which I hope some of you will be able to help me with. It is something I feel so stuck with that I cannot really move forward till I don't clear it up.
So I have a site in the "kitchen" niche. I started off as an amazon site, but went ahead and added posts about the amazon products with the images linking back to my amazon affiliate page.
Now I want to add AdSense to this site(I still have to apply for an AdSense account).
My question is, should I make this site only an AdSense site with images not linking to amazon, and all content without any links.

Will AdSense have a problem that I have affiliate links all over the site? Should AdSense sites not have any affiliate links?

Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can have both Adsense and affiliate links on the same site - I do it and so do many others.

The important thing is to do a lot of split testing to see which pages should have only Adsense, only affiliate links, or a combination of both in order to maximize your returns.

      Thanks,
It just clears up my confusion that AdSense sites cannot have amazon links.
