Buying links for pages on authoritative domains?

Hello everyone,

in order to push down the ranking of a negative report on our company we are trying to increase the ranking of positive reviews. Would buying links to pages with positive reviews on authoritative domains (such as Better Business Bureau, Yelp, etc.) be a viable strategy? What about buying links to social media pages of our company (which also are ranking directly below the negative reviews).

Any advice would be appreciated.

You could try tracking the disgruntled customer and sorted it out amicably. That would be the best way for all involved.

If you feel it may have been something with more malice involved, perhaps from a competitor. You could file for a copyright infringement against your brand. Explain your case clearly to the site that hosts the content within you "Take Down" notice.

If that doesn't work you could file the same complaint to Google themselves requesting a removal from the SERPs. This would be a good option if any "trade secret" or confidential" information regarding your company was published publicly.

Only option after that is finding the person, driving over to their house and punching them in the face with your pick up truck.

    oh I forgot links

You may trying posting an Ad on Craiglist with keywords that you want to suppress. ANything there ranks quickly for easy terms. Other than that there are Press release services on Authority sites which would quickly cover the SERPs but you need to build some links to them before they fade away.

You can build more positive reviews. But try to make it genuine. Try to gather reviews from your loyal customers and post it on business listing like Google review.

You may also do paid press release to increase good online reputation and perhaps encourage people to share your content online through social media.

    Good luck!
